I Have News!

Well my last post was entitled “Since I Don’t Have Any News” but this post couldn’t be more different! It all began on career day at my school on April 13. On career day, I met the Patels (father and son) who started a website called MeritBooster.com. The website was founded to help teenagers earn funding to pursue their goals! I thought, “What a great idea!” So I went, recorded a video, typed up a description etc, etc. I’ve been working on it over the past two weeks. Yesterday morning, my project got publically published on MeritBooster for all to see and donate to! The main idea is that people donate money to help me earn my pilot’s license; and in exchange I’m doing community service. (I don’t have a set place for community service but if you have an idea, I will go there!) My project has been up for just over 24 hours and in that short amount of time, I’ve been “boosted” by $300! I can not believe it! Many people have been supporting me socially as well on Facebook and Twitter. I am astounded! I would like to thank each and every single person who has helped me in any type of way! The ones who follow me on Twitter, the ones who liked my page on Facebook, the ones who have given me amazing advice, and especially the ones who contributed financially to me! I would like to thank Rajesh and Keshav Patel who have given me this incredible opportunity on their website! I chose to see them on career day because I thought their description sounded interesting – but I never expected something like this to happen! I would also like to thank Mr. Charlie Wright, a pilot himself; for so generously donating to my project. I’m trying to connect to people in a lot of ways.
